What should I have on hand to report damage?

You'll need the following: your policy number (or login information), a brief description of the damage, and – if possible – clear photos of the damage. Do you have receipts or invoices? Please attach those as well for faster processing.

Do I always have to report damage first, or can I request assistance or repairs immediately?

What should I do in case of burglary, theft or loss?

Always report the damage to the police immediately . This also applies if you're abroad. If that's not possible, report the damage to your tour guide or the manager of your accommodation.

Always ask for written proof of your claim . We need this document to process your claim quickly and correctly. Please include this written proof with your online claim report.

What should I do in the event of an accident?

Complete the front of the European Accident Report Form together with the other party , recording the details of any witnesses. You can complete the back later at your leisure. Also take photos of the situation and the damage to ensure everything is properly documented.

When does a claims adjuster visit and what does he or she do?

In some cases of damage it is necessary for a claims adjuster to visit.

This independent expert will assess the damage, check whether it's covered by your insurance, and help you with any questions. Together, we'll ensure a swift and thorough settlement.

If you disagree with our assessment, you can always engage your own expert. The costs are usually fully or partially reimbursed. The exact terms and conditions are in your insurance policy. If you wish to use this service, please discuss it with our claims expert.

How quickly will I hear something after my report?
