Damage to your home or contents? On this page, we explain how to report the damage, what proof we need, which repairers are available, and how we handle your claim quickly and efficiently.
What to do in case of
Water damage due to roof leakage or pipe breakage
Use our repair service for damage to your home. If you're repairing the damage yourself, be sure to first take photos of the leak and any resulting damage, and save the affected materials.
Pipeline rupture
Damage to, for example, wallpaper or plasterwork caused by a burst pipe is covered. We also cover the costs of locating and repairing the pipe. If leak detection is required without any demolition work, we'll contact a specialized company.
Roof leak
Damage to paintwork or plasterwork, for example, resulting from a roof leak is covered. Repairs to the roof itself are not covered.

Burglary or Theft
In the event of a burglary or theft at your home, always report it to the police. Then send us the police report and any purchase receipts or specifications of stolen items. Also, take photos of the damage. Do you own a home? Then you can claim the damage through your home insurance. You can easily upload all supporting documents to your account.
What to do in case of damage or theft of
Mobile Electronics
Have you damaged your mobile device? Please send us a damage report with a clear description of how the damage occurred and an itemized repair invoice. If repair is not possible, please provide photos or a statement from the repairer and include the device's purchase receipt.
In case of theft or loss, we would like to receive the purchase receipt with your damage report.

What to do in case of serious
Fire or water damage
In the event of serious fire or water damage, you should naturally call the fire department first. They will contact the Salvage Foundation to provide immediate assistance on behalf of your insurer. An expert will advise you, support you, and help prevent further damage by taking the necessary measures immediately.
Once this has been arranged, you can also report the damage to us. This way, we ensure your claim is handled quickly and efficiently.
