Damage during vacation

Damage during your holiday, to your caravan or cancelling your trip

Did you suffer damage on vacation, have to cancel your trip, or is your flight cancelled? This page provides step-by-step instructions on what to do, how to report the damage, what documents we need, and how we'll handle your claim quickly and efficiently.

damage, loss or theft of

Luggage

Always keep receipts and take photos of your damaged items, so you can easily prove what you own. Is it theft? Report it to the police and include the evidence with your report.

If your luggage was damaged during transport, request a written statement from the carrier immediately.

If your luggage doesn't arrive after a flight, ask for proof of loss (PIR form) at the baggage claim counter. If your luggage isn't returned promptly, file a claim with the airline. If your luggage is insured, you can claim the excess amount of damage from us. We also reimburse reasonable costs for essential items like clothing and toiletries.

How to deal with

Medical expenses

Do you need emergency medical assistance during your holiday? Your health insurance covers medical expenses first. If possible, always contact the emergency services. They will ensure you see a reliable doctor quickly. Ask the doctor for a clear invoice with the costs listed separately.

If the costs aren't fully covered by your health insurance or fall under your deductible, you can submit them to your travel insurance. Please include your booking confirmation, the healthcare claim, and your health insurer's details.
